Some high-end homes are incorporating virtual reality rooms reminiscent of holodecks on a Star Trek series. These include padded walls to protect gamers from hurting themselves as they put on headsets and wander in digital realms. Some have surround-sound speakers and vibration sensors in the floors to enhance the virtual experience.
