Decking out your Outdoor Space

We’ve been stuck in our homes for a long time.  How can you liven up your outdoor area?

  1. Consider hanging a picture on a blank wall on your deck or patio.  An inexpensive, colorful glassless wood-framed painting from the thrift-store can be preserved with a coat of Rust-Oleum water-repelling NeverWet to withstand the weather.
  2. Find a local artist to paint a mural on a wall, fence, or pool bottom You can search for experienced artists near you on sites such a thumbtack.com.
  3. Dress up naked swaths of siding or fences with wall sculptures of metal, wood or fired clay.  Ceramics can live safely outdoors.  Mid-Century wall sculptures can be found on sites like Etsy and eBay.

From kitschy to classy it is time to conquer the blank walls of the outdoors with some custom art!
